January- The Beginning of Another Chapter.

The year 2011 came fast! January was a great month to start off my year. Shortly after the beginning of the year we returned to our home back in Cedar and reunited as our little college family celebrating a belated Christmas. It was a new year and I was looking forward to it.
The first week back was great! We had a week before classes were starting up again and we just relaxed and spent some quality time together. Our friend Marla showed interest in the church so we were able to share our testimonies quite frequently throughout the month of January. Classes started up and we were back in the school routine. We were all excited for something new, for the new classes we were taking, and all the new people we were about to meet. It was a good month but very stressful. Between figuring out the balance between work, school, and having a social life, it was difficult at first but we whipped into shape pretty quickly. Purchasing a gym pass to Gold's was a good motivator to be better at the beginning of this New Year. It made me excited to get down and train for my race and to just feel better about myself and the way I look and feel. Besides the fridged weather, the month of January was indeed a success. Good times, good people, good laughs, good cries. The year 2011 was off to a good start.

I always love the beginning of a New Year. It's a time to reflect on the past year of your life and to figure out how to get through the next year. At the beginning of a new year most try to come up with some goals and write down things they would like to accomplish in the year to come. Sometimes they are goals that people actually stick to and end up achieving, others are goals that are close to impossible and are forgotten quickly, but making any type of goal is a good, healthy thing to do. The point is that we get a chance to try again. Every year comes to an end eventually and we are faced with another year of challenges, rewards, successes, and losses. It's up to us what kind of year we have. What an amazing opporitunity it is that we have the chance to be here on this earth and to live our lives that we live. There is a plan for each of us. We have a certain path in life that has been designed and mapped out for each of us. It's up to us to figure out what that pathway is and we can only do it with the help of the lord. I'm excited for this new year. I have good feelings about it and best of luck to each of you out there, that you can figure out what your goals are and get on the right pathway in your life. So bring it on 2011, we're ready for the new challenges of life.
